Electricity works at last

The planned essential electric works on behalf UK Power Networks along sections of the main track through Chesworth Farm is about to start at last.  The work will involve the installation of new underground electric cables along sections of the main track using a remote control drilling mole. The aim is to keep all paths open but extreme care should be taken around work areas and machinery.

The main work areas will be from the Volunteer Centre (formerly farm studio)and south along the track to the Arun bridge and then over the other side, outside the Chesworth Farm boundary. The engineers have been alerted about plants and wildlife that  they should preserve or avoid. The project is likely to take 6-8 weeks.
