Having gorged themselves for months on the relatively rich pasture at Chesworth, rare breed Hebridean sheep have been shorn by a local shearer and moved up to Owlbeech woods for a change of diet.
The HDC countryside wardens tell us that the heathland up there is now in need of the sheep’s trimming skills and luckily they are a versatile breed that likes both types of grazing.
The llamas, goats and the other two sheep, Poppy and Daisy, remain at Chesworth Farm.
