Invasive species are now widespread throughout the countryside and have a real negative impact on our flora and fauna as well as our health and wider economy.
A free workshop will help you identify invasive species such as Himalayan Balsam, Japanese Knotweed and American Skunk Cabbage and suggest the best management methods to control them.
The Arun and Rother Connections (ARC Project) and Horsham District Council invite you to join their free workshop and site visit. This will take place on Wednesday 22 July from 1pm-4:30pm at the Chesworth Farm Volunteer Centre. The workshop session will be followed by a walk around Chesworth Farm. Local food plus tea/coffee supplied.
Everyone is welcome – volunteer groups, landowners, farmers, gardeners and other interested local parties.
If you would like to attend this workshop, to book a place please either contact Stuart Card, HDC community engagement warden at stuart.card@horsham.gov.uk or ARC volunteer co-ordinator Kate Whitton on 01273 763377 or email kate.whitton@rspb.org.uk. See poster for more details.
