Works on Chesworth Farm this week

It’s a busy week @chesworthfarm this week: as well as path surfacing and fencing, we have just been alerted that the annual hedge cut is starting. Also, for those with time to volunteer, WSCC Rights of Way team will be step-cutting and footpath clearing on FP 2955 (skirting the base of Denne Hill and joining Pedlar’s Way) on this Thurs 20 and Fri 21 Oct. As many farm visitors will know, this is the end of a popular footpath onto the farm from Denne Road or Denne Hill.

Do wear stout shoes/boots and sensible clothing if you volunteer. Co-ordinator Anthony Donithorn says: “You will be very welcome. I will provide tools, gloves and tea, coffee and biscuits and we will work from 9:30 – 3:30ish (depending on the weather). A full day or just a couple of hours will be appreciated and so long as you check in with me to give me your details, you will be covered under our insurance policy.”
