Wielding a hefty pair of shears, Kate Parminter, the group’s honorary President, formally cut a ribbon on Chesworth Farm’s latest interpretation board to mark the successful completion of the site’s three-year wetland restoration project.
Introduced by Jonathan Chowen, HDC Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Leisure and Culture, she spoke to members from Friends of Chesworth Farm and the Sussex Wildlife Trust (for Arun & Rother Connections), the groups who worked closely with HDC on the project.
Baroness Parminter drew on her extensive environmental knowledge to highlight the wetland’s current and future importance to conservation, education and wellbeing.
