Weekend wetland task Sat 14 and Sun 15 October, 10.00-14.00 hrs

If weekend volunteering appeals, this is for you. Below are outline details. If you are free and interested, for some of either or both days, please contact us. If you have time to volunteer (anything from an hour to all four) we would be delighted to see you.

We are planning to cut back some of the overgrowth around and either side of the wetland boardwalk and repair and upgrade a drain or two. Meet at the Volunteer Centre from 10am. Finish around 2pm. Details will be confirmed if you book ahead: definitely wear old clothes and bring Wellington boots or stout outdoor boots. Tools and refreshments, but not lunch, provided. We plan to finish the tasks as far as possible the next day, same time, Sunday 15th October.

Grazing
The herd of llamas, goats and sheep are in enclosed Tip Field (no public access). Please do not feed any of the grazing animals on the site – they are well cared for, fed and watered. They are here to help maintain the farmland habitat.

Horse-riders and cyclists please keep to the bridleways. These cross the site E-W or N-S. If you are on a diagonal field path, you are definitely not on the right track.
