Chesworth Farm hay cut starting

Hay cutting almost underway! This was confirmed by Horsham District Council (HDC) this morning as follows: “Farm machinery is expected around the farm from the afternoon of Sunday 16 Sept and at various times during the 2 weeks after. This is to allow cutting of the grassland, turning, baling and then removal of the bales.

“Please take car around the hay cutting machinery. We advise that you keep dogs on leads during this period.

Grazing
The herd of llamas, goats and sheep are in enclosed Tip Field (no public access). Please do not feed any of the grazing animals on the site – they are well cared for, fed and watered. They are here to help maintain the farmland habitat.

Horse-riders and cyclists please keep to the bridleways. These cross the site E-W or N-S. If you are on a diagonal field path, you are definitely not on the right track.
