Christmas workshop brings generations together

Our annual Christmas wreath-making workshop was as popular as ever with our “full house” in the Chesworth Volunteer Centre this year including three sets of mothers and daughters. Everyone was keen to try their hand – or build on their skills from last year – at homemade wreaths from natural greenery gathered from local fields, woods and gardens.

Under the guidance of  Friends of Warnham LNR, our group  created beautiful wreaths and table decorations from willow, holly, conifer, ivy and other evergreens plus pine cones and teasels. Finishing touches of raffia, ribbons, bows and tinsel ensured every creation was unique. And one wreath – and matching garland –  is now decorating the club house of the East Brighton Golf Club.

Refreshments of hot drinks and mince pies were included in the entry price and provided by the Friends of Chesworth Farm. With thanks to the HDC countryside wardens and Friends of Warnham LNR for their support.
